warningYou heard it right! Bad SEO practices or simply SEO malpractices. I know that as webmasters some of you have gone a long way and had committed mistakes too. And so as, to correct this, here are the following common mistakes that we have once experienced once in our life as an SEO.

There are times that, just because we wanted to impress a client we are doing things that we think could make the site the we handle reach it’s objective and that it to gain of course, popularity and manipulate search engine rankings. Thus, that directs us,to use some of the wrong practices of which we never even bother to think whether it’s really good for the site. That application maybe on cases on how we do search engine optimization for this certain site.

What are some of these SEO Malpractices:

Bad linking
This idea may refer to a style in which you this page that consist large numbers of links or something that even looks like a link list.

Keyword Stuffing
Keyword stuffing occurs when a web page is loaded with keywords in the meta tags or in content. The repetition of words in meta tags may explain why many search engines no longer use these tags.

Hidden links
As the name suggest, it is hidden/invisible. Therefore, no value is considered for this links, for no clicks will be made. Thus, it’s sole purpose is for search engines alone. And search engines hate it.

Cross Linking
Having a purpose of gaining popularity for a site, this isn’t a good idea. Interlinking maybe understood with this example: Site A links to site B, site B links to site C and site C links to site A

Paid Linking
Buying and even selling links that has higher PR, not minding it’s bad effect to this site’s ranking being sold, I know that a lot of SEO’s and even webmasters are doing this.

Cloaking
Cloaking is a real illegal technique.

Illegal Content
Using other writers copyrighted content without permission. You can really get banned from the search engines, again and again, “Content is King”.

Duplicate Content
Duplicate, not a good term to hear. “Content is King” again should be applied. Although to your reader’s eyes, if you have this good article, it is okay, some will say that you’re a good writer, but to search engines, it’s a “No, No”. Penalty awaits you for doing this.

Google is always, as smart, so as they maybe able to know everything we have done for our site. And if doing some of this techniques, the risks that we’ll be having will be getting banned from the search engines, penalties with the site’s ranking or even worst getting banned from the index. And the proper solution for getting on top among your sites competitors is through thinking of good and yet effective techniques.
