September 18, 2009 Leave a comment

tagsFor almost 6 months in this profession ( being an SEO ), I have found that there are really things which are complicated and there also things that are simple. But I guess, no matter how simple it may seem, still there’s so much to be learn about this simple thing.

Effective tags for posts, these were just part of your posts, but this words are very important. Each posts, you make, has this title tags, and you have to support it with tags or simply the keywords. Although there are times that your title tags, were helpful for searchers to find it easily on search engines, but it will be best if you make used of tags and make sure to make it more specific.

Specific does not mean that you have to make it simple, but to make it more relevant to the topic you have set, and of course with the title tags. And I know that you all know what keyword stuffing ( using keywords excessively which you have made as your meta tags ) means. That’s a “no,no” for search engines, and could get you banned. And it’s not helpful for your posts.

Reddit: Where I Get High Traffic Hit

redditSeeing a simple page like this Reddit.com, a bookmarking site where you could store and share to other reddit members your bookmarked pages, is somewhat has something that I think is helpful for other webmasters. But that’s just based on my experience. I have set up this blog for just about a month now, and checking on my admin page, traffic I get most shows reddit as the source. At first, I get no interests in signing up an account, but right after I have tried bookmarking my client’s site, I have seen that it gives backlinks, and so I joined. And what’s more great about this site, is that, I generated big traffic among other bookmarking sites. And what I have been doing now, is that I do experiment with other bookmarking sites, and see if it gives me this benefit I get with reddit.

And as what I have observed, it doesn’t really matter unto how the page looks like, and unto how many numbers of friends you have added, just as long as you are saving good and quality contents for other members to read and of course is informative, for any interested readers. Simplicity is really effective, and that credit, reddit.

September 18, 2009 Leave a comment

Penalty is sometimes hard for site owners to determine whether they’ve been hit by it. There are cases that your site has been linked by other sites which hosts a pornographic contents just for spam. And this is one of the unnoticed effect if your into buying links. Your site will have the tendency to receive a penalty.

One indication of this penalty is when you have loss your site’s PR. And in cases like this to occur, although I know that Google will find it hard to check whether this blog is prone for buying links, then how will Google know? Well then, that will be possible, with the help of those concerned people’s report to Google, but I still don’t have the idea, on how many reports will be the basis for this in order to implement penalty for a certain site.

Penalty Hit Remedy

Here’s what you could do: send a re-inclusion requests to Google telling them exactly what you did wrong and why and what you can do to fix it. Another remedy you could do about this is to: checked the linkings that you have done, see if it is irrelevant, obviously shows a not so good sites that has spammy links and then all that you have to do is to delete these links, and that follows again, a reconsideration request to Google.

Backlinks by Badlinking

pr-backlinksSome blog owners and webmasters are unaware of the remedy that they get when they involve themselves in backlinking without making sure that they are not performing the so-called badlinking.

Paid links, is also associated as bad linking. According to Google’s Matt Cutt, Google -60 penalty, can make a site go back in Google 60 position because of doing this, paid links. This kind of technique, could give your site a negative effect on your ranking, moreover if this is caught by Google, and it simply takes away that juice, and it will be in terms of penalty.

Link farmers as what they are being known, are fund of doing that without making a second thought or even researching it’s effect when done excessively. Some are even called as bad neighbors. Exchanging emails, offering link exchanges.

And the worst that could happen is that, when you get to encounter bad link partners where they again contact you using different emails, with different names, but then without your knowledge this person is still the same person whom you have made a transaction before. And then not knowing later on, as time have passed, there are times that these “bad link partners” are removing your links on their homepage, thus the creation of one-way link to them. This is a lesson though, I think one common advice for this is to check from time to time, your link partner’s site, if your link is still there.

And so, by these information, I guess it would be better if you would just spent your time creating quality content for your site, do participate on forums, write quality article for article submission, and make use of other creative linking services.

September 3, 2009 Leave a comment

Google had made a new revelation recently about their latest search engine that according to Google “CAFFEINE” is fast and is reliable. This newly created and improved search engine was said to be good for it can index a new content faster.

There has been a test for this which was supported by web developers to check it’s ability to run faster. As the world of technology becomes more competitive and highly updated with new inventions as well as innovations, we should bear in mind to take advantage of the offerings but see to it to know all the constraints.

Is this a new opportunity for bloggers?I guess yes. Feedbacks about this newly set up search engine, results we’re seen to be the same, compared to Google’s search results. But these results were just unnoticeably to common users but for web developers, data encoders and active searchers, they’ll be noticing a diffrrence during their search. Googler’s have been working hard for this, to give it’s consumers and users the service of fast indexing, accurate yet comprehensive. Thus resulting to more relevant results quickly but primarily the changes is for the way “to be indexed”.

“Index”, a very sweet word to be heard for webmasters. And that “Caffeine” is a good news for us. If MSN, has a Bing, then google has Caffeine. Hope that this new search engine will really be a big help for us in terms of speed and accuracy as well. Can’t wait for it. What will be the next creation of Google? More of updates of it’s launching. Let’s just wait for it.
