Good or Bad SEO

Have you heard of any situation stating that they have made a website, which has lots of pages in it, and then buying or creating another domain posting an article containing links to it’s first website’s pages? Site Problem: Keyword Rank Fluctuates

 

Ever fear that time will come, for a 3 years old site disappear in the search engine? Well, I do have that fear, guys. Once in my life as a freelance webmaster , I have this client, he is nice and is very understanding. Okay, skip to that. I handled his site for about 11 months, and he had made me worked with a lot of keywords, to be optimized using his 2 sites. When we are targeting to have it’s rank in increase in search engines, I know that there should be couple of hours to be spent with that, through the effort of building backlinks for that site. And how is it possible, forums, blog commenting, article submission and using lots of SEO tools and techniques.

One instance came where, I was shocked, checking that link to a search engine giving me a result of “zero”.I have done searching for that keyword using googleposition tool, SERP and even searchenginegenie but still no information. Was it banned or something? But checking it, with SEOquake, the site which happens to be in it’s PR3, now has down to PR0.

And then I stopped and think, why? One answer, pop up. Wait, I have stopped optimizing this keyword for about, 4 months now. Maybe that’s the reason why. Later after that realization, I give my focus on that keyword, finding ways to have the fastest and easiest ways to build more quality backlinks and optimization for that site which includes article submission, blog updates. Video submission particularly to youtube and blog/forum commenting. And now, it’s back on the search engine but not on the same page as before.

Lesson learned: Don’t stop optimizing or don’t give too much gap when you decided to take a break with that keyword. DO your job as an SEO expert and give quality work to stand out together with your company to be known as one of the best outsourcing in the Philippines . Backlinking to Sites with Low PR

I know we often have asked ourselves with this question without even trying to ask professional bloggers. Will backlinks with low PR ( PR0, or even PR N/A) gives my site a benefit. As a webmaster, we all tend to focus on making our site reach higher PR as fast and possible as we could. We have done creating good and quality content for our site and as well as engaging in exchange links.

I have done exchange links through forums and then later on I contact them through PM’s, and transact with them link exchange. And as for me, I don’t mind whether it has high or low PR, as long as it’s a site that is related to my blog’s content and offering.

Asking me why?

The answer is this. I do consider that activity, for I wanted to give my site “justice”. As an SEO by profession, I see to it, that I put limits on the links (blogroll) that I have in my site and provided that it shares or offers, similar content as mine. I have made a blog before, and it’s been about 5 months old. Just this last week, I decided to create a new blog and what I did is I do posted one topic I have in my old blog. That post was indexed by Google. The fear that I have is that, will I get penalized with it? Or if not, then what I should do is to create a link pointing to the old post.”

And with those advices, I think what I should do now as a writer, is to consider doing a revised article with that post. Then, that would be good for my site and I could be consider as writer now. That will be a good way to avoid duplicate content and getting penalized with Google.

And as an experience, I may not be a professional on that field, but I can say that I have learned a bit about the environment of how SEO really works.
